DDR!lock commission I made for Namara.
Teenlock dancing to Beetoven Virus and owning it, obviously. Also, the machine has eyebrows. Idek.
AND IMAGINE IF ONE DAY John shows up at the arcade with his friends Bill and Mike; Bill likes playing shooters whereas Mike likes racing or two person co-op games and John likes both
There’s a small crowd around gathered around this skinny tall boy who is KILLING it on Paranoia Survivor and when he finishes the song you can see the Leaderboard looks like:

and so on
Some boys are making comments about him hogging the machine but John can tell they’re just jealous because there’s no way they can hope to dance like that, John’s never seen anyone dance like that
And after a while John wants to try it for himself, so he puts two tokens down on the ledge of the machine and says, “I call next.”
The boy doesn’t acknowledge him, and John puts the tokens in anyway and the screen reads, “Player 2 has joined the game!”
But John is abysmal at it and he fails the song.
He puts in two more tokens anyway and the boy changes the song (that John notices has a much lower difficulty) and he says to John, “Don’t be an idiot, start on Easy.” John has to swallow his pride and do it, and he slips up a lot but he manages to complete the song.
They keep on dancing until Bill and Mike get bored want to go home, but John decides to stay a little bit longer, and they take the occasional break to rest and John learns his new friend’s name is Sherlock, and Sherlock buys them both sodas from the vending machine and by the time the arcade is closing John has mastered most songs on Easy mode and Sherlock says to him, “See you again tomorrow?”
and then they keep meeting at the arcade after school and John gets better and better at DDR until finally one day the game says “NEW HIGH SCORE” and they get to put in “SHJW” on the #10 slot of the 2 player leaderboard uwu
